PAINTED POTTERY WINE JUG
Cypriot; Late Bronze Age, 1550 – 1200 BC
Cypriot; Late Bronze Age, 1550 – 1200 BC
Globular body, long cylindrical neck, funnel rim, handle from neck to shoulder, base ring with remains of white paint decoration around the whole body.
Of all the Cypriote ceramic imports found in Israel, the Base-Ring “Bilbil” jugs and juglets of the usual size are the most common (Cf. Amiran 1969, PL 54)

Height: 24 cm
Width: 14 cm
Condition: Handle with chipping and losses otherwise intact.
Found in Samaria north of Jerusalem, Holy Land
